Increasing tree cover on farms in Ethiopia can contribute to environment-friendly agroecological transitions that support livelihoods. Yet most tree-planting schemes only promote a few species, thereby limiting the scope for applying agroecological principles that enhance biodiversity, recycling and synergy.
