CIFOR-ICRAF has a wealth of experience in linking international agricultural research knowledge with action for sustainable development. This session on Innovation for Impact aimed to build the awareness of this wealth of approaches as one of our assets for accelerating knowledge to action and to facilitate a discussion on how we can better broker access to these approaches. Within the frameworks of research in development and sustainable innovation journeys, what innovation means for CIFOR-ICRAF was discussed and how to better integrate our lessons learned. Innovative approaches for national institutional capacity development were showcased, as well as innovative performance-based incentive schemes for landscape actors. GLF itself is an innovation in global partnerships and understands itself as boundary partner for CIFOR-ICRAF research. Through the Landscape Academy, Youth in Landscapes Initiative, GLFx and Sustainable Finance, GLF has developed approaches to link research/knowledge to change.
