CIFOR–ICRAF publishes over 750 publications every year on agroforestry, forests and climate change, landscape restoration, rights, forest policy and much more – in multiple languages.

CIFOR–ICRAF addresses local challenges and opportunities while providing solutions to global problems for forests, landscapes, people and the planet.

We deliver actionable evidence and solutions to transform how land is used and how food is produced: conserving and restoring ecosystems, responding to the global climate, malnutrition, biodiversity and desertification crises. In short, improving people’s lives.

View from Vietnam: Realizing the true values of our forests

Researchers from the Global Comparative Study on REDD+ (GCS-REDD+), led by the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR), worked with National Television in Vietnam to produce this television segment on the country's forest valuation policies. The resulting segment was broadcast nationally on 16, 20 and 24 April 2017. The work was supported by the International Climate Initiative (IKI) of the German Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB) and the International Forestry Knowledge (KNOWFOR) project under UK aid from the UK Government.
