Sustainable Use and Development of
Non-timber Products
Objective:
Direct attention to the individual and social costs and benefits of alternatives for
forest land use. In particular studies how people respond to new opportunities that shift
the relative costs of forest resources, land and labour, and to conditions that favour
forest-based development, using non-timber forest products as a point of entry.
