Gilberto Rodriguez

Gilberto Rodriguez is Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Agrarian Cooperative ACOPAGRO and a member since its foundation in 1997. He was one of the first farmers to adopt cocoa cultivation as an alternative development option to coca cultivation, leading the transition from coca to cocoa in the Junín region of Peru. As chairman, he supports the cooperative and its 2,000 members in various internal and external processes. He is president of the Ledoy Committee, on the banks of the Huallaga River, dedicated to cocoa production.
