Mamou Dembele

Mamou Dembele, is the vice-president of a cooperative “saving for change called Gnabene”. She is a woman who is committed to the preservation of the environment and the empowerment of rural women. Under her leadership, the GNABENE cooperative has carried out many regreening practices (Assisted Natural Regeneration, tree planting, direct seeding among others.) and the transformation of non-timber forest products. As a talented woman she affirms that the improvement of our well-being is premised on the preservation of the environment. Mamou lives in Beresso, commune of Katangana, Circle of Yorosso in Mali.
