Nehru Prabakaran is a DST-INSPIRE Faculty at Wildlife Institute of India since 2018. He is an ecologist focusing on vegetation recovery following natural and anthropogenic disturbances. He holds a Ph.D. in Botany from Bharathiar University. He was a recipient of Leibniz-DAAD Post-Doctoral Fellowship 2014, Germany, and DST-INSPIRE Faculty award, India – 2018. His research largely focused on the mangrove community responses to the sea-level change associated with tectonic subsidence and uplift in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
