Ann Degrande is a socio-economist based in Yaoundé. She holds a PhD in Applied Biological Sciences (Tropical Agriculture) from the University of Gent, Belgium. Her research focus is on co-design and performance evaluation of innovative extension mechanisms. Since 2000, Ann has been coordinating projects aimed at improving smallholder livelihoods through the promotion of rural innovation in Cameroon, Nigeria and the Democratic Republic of Congo. She is also backstopping multi-disciplinary teams in the development of community approaches for the scaling of agroforestry practices throughout West and Central Africa.
