CD CoverReason for this CD

This "Proceedings CD" was produced for the purpose of consolidating and disseminating the knowledge generated by the conference. It has been distributed principally to those who attended the event as well as to those who applied to attend the event.

Structure of this CD

In this Proceedings CD we have organized the papers in two ways. In the first section [see "Papers/Posters by Topic" ], we classify the papers and also the posters according to the seven conference topics. In the second section [see "All Papers"] we classify the papers alphabetically by the last name of the lead author of each paper. In the third section [see "All Posters"], we classify the poster alphabetically by the last name of the lead author of each posters . In all papers and poster classifications, you can sort the list by author and by title.

The other CD in this set

The other CD in this set, the "Documentation CD," contains the following information:

  • additional background on the conference;

  • the conference program;

  • presentations made by leading experts in the field on the opening day of the event;

  • descriptions of the seven conference topics;

  • papers on "political approaches" made to the conference plenary;

  • the conference posters;

  • information on two conference "side events;"

  • a summary speech made on the closing day by David Kaimowitz, CIFOR's Director General; and

  • conference photographs.

NOTE THAT IN SOME CASES, NAVIGATION THROUGH THE "DOCUMENTATION CD" REQUIRES CLICKING ON PHOTOS, AND NOT THE TEXT!
