Ajith has a combined four years of experience in teaching and research in Agroforestry and Tree Improvement. Prior to joining CIFOR-ICRAF, he held positions with Tamil Nadu Agriculture University and the Tamil Nadu Forest Department. Ajith holds B.Sc. and M.Sc. (Forest Genetic Resources) degrees in Forestry from the Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE) Accredited Central University of Chhattisgarh. His primary areas of interest span Agroforestry, Carbon Forestry, Silviculture, Tree Improvement, and the application of Remote Sensing & GIS in natural resource management and Agroforestry-based livelihoods development.
