C Muthumperumal

Muthumperumal holds a post-graduation in Environmental Biotechnology from M.S. University, Tirunelveli and a PhD from Department of Ecology and Environmental Sciences, Pondicherry University, Puducherry. Before joining CIFOR-ICRAF, Muthumperumal worked as a Program Officer at an ENVIS Centre funded by the Government of India’s Ministry of Enviornment, Forest and Climate Change and at the Centre for Sustainable Future, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham University, Coimbatore. He also served as an Assistant Professor in Kalasalingam School of Agriculture and Horticulture (KSAH), Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education (Deemed to be University), Krishnankoil, Tamil Nadu. Muthumperumal has been involved with two post-doctoral researches on plant diversity, ecology, and conservation in various peninsular Indian forests. He has also published 11 peer-reviewed research articles in the reputed international/National journals and is a co-author of a book and 7 book chapters.
