Desa Bengkarek, berada di Kawasan Hidrologis Gambut Sungai Kapuas – Sungai Ambawang, terdiri dari tujuh dusun, dengan empat dusun berada di lahan gambut. Kebun campur (karet – kopi, karet – lada, karet-kopi-lada) mendominasi tutupan lahan, sementara sawit dari tiga perusahaan sekitar menjadi tutupan terbesar kedua.
