RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
A discussion of the results is presented at two levels. First a brief overview is made
on research resources, namely research staff, financial resources, and research support
facilities. This will give a limited picture on the capacity of the individual
institutions to undertake research.
The second part of the section is devoted to processes which enhance research capacity.
These are examined in relation to how the institutions are able to manage and/or benefit
from their external and internal environments. Research support staff shall also be
evaluated under this section.
