Nyimba Forest Project

The goal of this project is the outcomes of the National Joint Programme (NJP) are further supported and amplified for the formulation of a comprehensive national REDD+ strategy (NRS) for Zambia. The provision of additional technical support to Zambia's NJP, covering aspects and activities not supported under the current Multi-Donor Trust Fund (MDTF) arrangement; and in the process data and information generated on REDD+ and forests are made available to key individuals and stakeholders at national and regional levels for REDD+ pilot implementation. To provide additional technical support to Zambia's NJP on forest carbon measurement and monitoring by generating appropriate information on the nature of forests and by facilitating the coverage of research issues not currently supported under the Multi-Donor Trust Fund arrangement.
