ICRAF Indonesia menginisiasi penyusunan kurikulum muatan lokal gambut di tiga kabupaten di dua provinsi di Indonesia, yaitu Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ilir (OKI) dan Kabupaten Banyuasin di Provinsi Sumatera Selatan, serta Kabupaten Kubu Raya di Provinsi Kalimantan Barat. Ketiga kabupaten ini dipilih karena memiliki wilayah gambut yang luas dan strategis.
