Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan dan mengimplementasikan restorasi mangrove dan model bisnis berbasis masyarakat yang layak secara ekologis dan diterima komunitas lokal; serta memberikan manfaat bagi masyarakat lokal sembari berkontribusi tidak hanya terhadap inisiatif mangrove berkelanjutan di Indonesia tetapi bisa lebih daripada itu.
