Agroforestry: now and in the future

Agroforestry seems to validate the aphorism that there is nothing new under the sun – only recycled ideas. Although a new term coined in 1977 it denotes an age-old practice of having trees mixed in the agricultural landscape. It also involves however study of the problems arising at the interface of agriculture and forestry and the establishment of an organisation dedicated specifically to those problems.
