The aim is not description per se but description for the purpose
of diagnosis and design. The amount of documentation produced
at this stage will vary from application to application. Good
documentation is necessary if different peraonnel are to carry
out the next stage or if a formal report or project proposal
is planned. On the other hand brief notes will suffice if it
is judged that there is no particular value in extensive
documentation
