The Video Baseline Survey (VBLS) was a part of theClimate-smart Tree-based Co-investment in Adaptation and Mitigation in Asia(Smart Tree-Invest) project which was supported by the International Fund forAgricultural Development. The project had sites in Viet Nam Indonesia and the Philippines.
As well as being a research tool to examine changes in perceptions over timethe VBLS was also a communication tool used to amplify the voices of individualfarmers and government officers and share reflections through a powerfulcombination of moving images sounds and stories. In the VBLS farmers expressed their concern for their landscapes and climatevariability and its impacts as well as desirable changes for the future.
