This document discusses a project involving the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) and national agricultural research systems (NARS) partners in West and East Africa. The project aims to conduct baseline studies, monitor adoption of innovations, target innovations for upscaling, build NARS capacity, and coordinate activities. It will focus on legumes in Nigeria, Mali, Niger, Malawi, Tanzania, and Mozambique. Activities include surveys, databases, reports, backstopping NARS through training, and partnerships between IITA and NARS institutions. The intended targets are to complete surveys, reports, and establish a database to monitor indicators of achievement.
