CIFOR–ICRAF publishes over 750 publications every year on agroforestry, forests and climate change, landscape restoration, rights, forest policy and much more – in multiple languages.

CIFOR–ICRAF addresses local challenges and opportunities while providing solutions to global problems for forests, landscapes, people and the planet.

We deliver actionable evidence and solutions to transform how land is used and how food is produced: conserving and restoring ecosystems, responding to the global climate, malnutrition, biodiversity and desertification crises. In short, improving people’s lives.

Description

The CGIAR Platform for Big Data in Agriculture was created to promote, support and accelerate the efforts of CGIAR centers and research programs to both leverage and shape digital transformations in global agriculture. The Platform program is organized according to three modules which also serve as strategic pillars: organize, convene and inspire. 'Organize' is related to supporting the efforts of the CGIAR network to share open and/or findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable data in order to accelerate research efforts and enable new collaborations. 'Convene' is related to building new partnerships to help shape and leverage digital technologies in support of global agricultural development. 'Inspire' centers on using data to push the limits of research and/or transform ways of doing business.
