Ilse Hennemann
Ilse Hennemann is a specialist in stakeholder engagement and capacity development, with over 11 years of experience across Eastern Africa, the Horn of Africa, and Asia. At CIFOR-ICRAF, she facilitates learning and multi-stakeholder processes, both in-person and through online and blended formats. She works on projects in landscape restoration, climate action, and natural resource management, often utilizing the Stakeholder Approach to Risk-informed and Evidence-based Decision-making (SHARED) methodology to promote evidence-based, inclusive decision-making.Her project portfolio includes Regreening Africa, aimed at restoring one million hectares of land, and K4GGWA, which enhances knowledge sharing and policy support for the Great Green Wall initiative.Additionally, through the Restoration Education program, she collaborates with universities in Africa and Asia to co-develop curricula on landscape restoration. Ilse has an academic background in Human Geography and Environmental Policy.
