Collaboration in Landscapes for Sustainable Development

Hybrid dialogue with Tony Simons CIFOR-ICRAF

The global challenges on food security, degradation and loss of biodiversity, as highlighted in the recent IPCC reports, signal the urgent call for the world to collaborate for multifunctional landscapes to meet human needs and restore ecosystems. However, the question is where the investments for integrated and sustainable landscape management and restoration will come from? What incentives and pathways will foster integrated and resilient landscape action?

Dr Tony Simons will Executive Director, CIFOR-ICRAF and fellow to KSA, will speak about the role Swedish institutions and CIFOR-ICRAF can play in meeting the challenges the world faces today. Representatives from different sectors in Sweden will present their work. Swedish actors representing different sectors will share their work. The interactive session will include a panel discussion on how various actors can collaborate and invest in landscapes for sustainable development.
