Julian Fox

Julian is an Australian with 20 years of experience in Forest monitoring and assessment. For seven years, Julian lived and worked in developing countries managing international forest monitoring projects in Papua New Guinea and Zambia. Julian has been with FAO for 7 years, 3 years in Zambia and 4 years based in HQ. He has a bachelor’s degree in Forest Sciences 1996 and a PhD in Forest Assessment 2000, both from the University of Melbourne. As Team Leader of National Forest Monitoring, Julian is responsible for leading the NFM work of the Forestry Department.
