Forest Landscape Restoration: Improving the wellbeing of local people

Forest Landscape Restoration: Improving the wellbeing of local people
Landscape degradation is an ongoing threat that has a direct impact on soil fertility and crop yields, exposing us to food insecurity. If nothing is done, our current situation and the problems we face will pale in comparison to those of future generations. But if we change our behaviour, we can spare our children from the consequences of our greed and our mistakes. We can manage our land sustainably. Everyone has a responsibility to stand up and make the right choice, because there are alternatives – many of them – to the status quo. It is up to us to put them into practice for the benefit of generations to come.
