A new highway

A new highway is a sign of development and increased connectivity in a once-isolated region of Southwest China. In the background: Karst formations typical of the landscape in Guizhou and Guangxi provinces in Southwest China. Due to their steepness and inaccessibility, karsts are natural repositories of native biodiversity.
